This steel pedestrian bridge crossing Cairo Alexandria Agricultural road is located at Shubra El Kheima Metro Station. The bridge has an irregular shape in plan; one of its branches serves the main ticket entrance of the terminal station. The second branch almost at right angle to the latter crosses the Egyptian National Railway (ENR).The main challenge of the project was to avoid the interruption of ongoing ENR traffic during construction. This favored the use of unwrapped steel components, to overcome the strict fire protection requirements imposed.
