Greater Cairo Urban Subway – St. Theresa Underground Station, Egypt

EHAF was requested to carry out the designs of this station taking into consideration the phasing of works in addition to formwork, re-bar and as-built drawings.

EHAF design team performed a sophisticated space model for the station which includes the phases of work. This helped to bring up closer the results compared to those which could have been obtained from a simple plan model commonly used for design purposes. Also a comparison has been made between two software packages available namely SAP & EIFFEL which showed that both are almost identical that can handle large size structures, or associated to international foreign and/or local companies.
