Engineering design is the process of creating a detailed plan or concept for a project, while supervision is the act of overseeing the construction or implementation of that design to ensure it’s built correctly, on time, and within budget. Design involves creating specifications, blueprints, and models, whereas supervision involves monitoring progress, quality, and safety on-site to ensure adherence to the original plan.
