The university proposal was designed on a plot land with an area approximately equals to 800,000 sq. m. The built up area was about 550,000 sq. m. The competition brief required the different engineering faculties, specialized engineering laboratories, a library, a student union and commons, main administration building, student and faculty housing. A retail facility and a hotel for visiting faculty, conference center facility, sports center and fields._x000D_\nEHAF’s competition entry aimed at creating an organic campus design that integrated formal and informal spaces around a central spine. The relationship to the context was central to the design concept as it determined the locations of critical functions such as the housing, the mall and the hotel.
